Intercessory Prayer Ministry

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone -- For kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.   This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.  For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men -- the testimony given in its proper time.  I want all men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing."
--1 Timothy 2:1-6, 8

Believing in God's goodness, great mercy, love and His promises, the first priority of this ministry is to intercede in prayer for the needs of others.  In Ezekiel 22:30, the prophet declared the Word of God:  "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none."  God is still seeking those who will "stand in the gap on behalf of the land."  God is calling Christians to the daily ministry of intercessory prayer.

First Baptist Church has approximately 80 members who have accepted that call through this special ministry.

If you have a prayer request that you would like to submit you may do that by calling our Prayer Line at 662-226-5611.  Please leave your request on our answering machine and your request will be entered into our Prayer Request Book by one of our intercessors.   You may also make your request online by sending an email to prayer@fbcgrenada.org

We would appreciate updates from you concerning your request so that we can pray more effectively as well as share God's answers with those who have been praying for you.   Those may also be made by calling the Prayer Line or by email.
