Minister of Students - Terry Walton
Terry Walton

I was born in Greenwood, MS, January 14th, 1964. My father was a Baptist minister in several churches across the state of Mississippi, one of which was in Columbia, MS, where I graduated from high school in 1982. I attended Mississippi Delta Community College and Holmes Community College for two years and worked for an Industrial supply company until June of 2004, when First Baptist Church called me as Minister to Students.

My goal in life is to continually grow stronger in my faith and to live out a reflection of Christ that might inspire and challenge young people to seek God with a whole heart. I also love sharing my faith with others and reaching out to students anywhere. I truly believe God is raising up a generation that will stir a lost nation back to its only hope, Jesus Christ!

The people of First Baptist Church have mentored, encouraged and challenged me. As God was preparing me for this ministry, He used so many different people with so many different gifts to invest in my life! It is a true testimony of how Awesome He is and how He is always working in our lives and within his church even when it's not so evident to us!
